boomboom
yes,YOU,eunice,YOU.eh good job on friday.like pei said. you improved. soon you'll have less bones and more muscles.
cca has been eating up a lot of my time lately. in fact, it's been swallowing up almost my entire life. friday was just terrible. but the feeling after we completed every round made up for all the pain we went through.even sara ran so much longer than she did before. today was really heartwarming. teo came up to us holding a platter filled with slices of cake and started talking to us. this time, there were no harsh words, and gone were his usual caustic remarks. i could tell from his words that he's in a way, really proud of us. to quote him, at the end of the day, the sporting achievement is one thing, but if you all manage to hold on and persevere, you'll come out from this cca a better person. hear hear. those words are ever so true. somehow i can't see myself quitting canoeing. yes we are lousy, yes i'm turning part-time cross country runner and yes, there's a high chance that i'll walk away with nothing but wet clothes next year during competition. but seriously i think i've learnt so much- firstly, my fitness is WHOOHOOWALAWALABINGBANG better, i've learnt to tolerate harsh situations, learnt to push,to force,to persevere even when i feel so tempted to start waving a white flag.i'm grateful to teo for today. he may have a relapse and start on his sai routine anytime soon, but for today, he wasn't an angry teacher, he was an sympathetic mentor.
steamboat and boardgames and dessert were good too. :)
okay i'm dead beat. off to lalaland. take care all. missing most of you already. signing off...
