bad monday

monday blues just hit me right in the face.

i swear i'll never drink and sleep late on a sunday night again, especially when monday's the longest day of the week. having a throbbing headache that goes on and off during lessons isn't exactly the best day to start the week. on the bright side, the shittiest day is over! hopefully the rest of the week will pass by easily!

exco elections are coming up! exciting!

alright, that's about it from me! time to hit the books.. or try to at least :)

thank you to elizabeth and her mother who have helped me a lot the past few days.

so, why am i on the computer, blogging?
why do i even blog in the first place?
why am i telling uninterested people, or perhaps nobody at all, the details of my insignificant life?
why am i asking so many questions?
why do i get the feeling that if anyone is actually reading this, she wants me to stop asking questions?

i am blogging because i am bored. because i have nothing better to do. because i want to make people envious of my ohSOwonderful life.

ok i'm just bored.

let me tell you, if you didn't know already, about the life of a JC2 student in VJC in the middle of august.

a JC2 student in VJC in the middle of august is:
a)sleepy.
b)wondering if there's a way to earn money without working.
c)debating whether she should go to new zealand and stay with the cows forevermore.
d)wondering how much an air ticket to new zealand costs.
e)definitely on the macdonalds list of 'customers that call for huge meals at midnight'
f)hungry.
g)awake in the wee hours of the morning, praying that she'll not waste another day.
h)constantly downing coffee to stay awake.
i)blogging when she should be studying.

sigh.

:D

sorry for the long absence! so many things have happened since i last blogged so i shall just highlight some of the major events yep?

SINGFEST!!!

OHMYGOD! by far the best concert there ever happened in Singapore! i was initially bummed out that we didn't manage to get tickets for the 9th august performance but since they're free, we just went! we were pleasantly surprised though! the bands were awesome! the night kicked off with sasha bach band. a relatively unheard of band but they are really good! check out their myspace site! myspace.com/sashabachband. they're really awesome! i especially enjoyed forgetful child! then shaggy came on and he was damn good! he managed to get the crowd on their feet! jen and i got really high after that :) i can tell he's a darn good performer! then was the stranglers! oh boy! even though i've never heard of them, i really loved their music!! they got me jumping non-stop! cyndi lauper was next. i'm not a very fond fan of her music but when true colours came on, the atmosphere was fantastic! everyone was singing along to the song and it was qutie a breathtaking experience. then the highlight:sugar ray :D it was awesome! we all got really high and i can't believe i could still sing to every word of their songs! it's amazing how i can still remember even though the songs are like 10 years old? loved it :) we didn't stay for pet shop boys cos we weren't really keen and we wanted to avoid the crowd. all in all, it was a wonderful night out with jen! thanks so much for winning the tickets and letting me go with you :) i really really enjoyed myself and i couldn't have thought of a better person to share this wonderful experience with than with you :) love you long time!!

bookchook

a prokaryote doesn't have introns. an eukaryote has introns within its genes. the structure of prokaryotic dna is held in place by dna binding proteins. the structure of eukaryotic dna is held in place by histones.

stupid questions for stupid people like me.
1.do histones have anything to do with history? why the similarity in name then?
2.tell me why we get full after eating? why can't we just eat non stop and still feel hungry?
3.do your toenails grow faster than your fingernails or do they grow at the same speed?
4.why isn't there a peanut-butter-and-kaya-and-scrambled-egg sandwich selling anywhere?
5.why can't we lick our elbows?

answers to stupid questions for stupid people like me.
1.i don't know.
2.because sakae sushi will go bankrupt.
3.your fingernails grow faster.
4.i also don't know.
5.we aren't dogs.

help me before i plead insanity. i think we're all going slightly off tangent. yesterday elise chua, the wise and level-headed, sent me a message saying, "the thunderbirds are go!" bless your cotton socks,my dear. today, i ate my dinner with a fork only for the fun of it and ended up taking half an hour to finish my food. goodbye.
